Helping Hands Behavior Therapy
We provide in-home behavior therapy to greater metro Tucson, Arizona. We also collaborate with schools, train caregivers and have a clinic in central Tucson. Each Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) at Helping Hands Behavior Therapy has received training from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA) who specializes in Natural Environment Training — a highly effective approach in applying therapy to real-world experiences. Through personalized programs and positive reinforcement, children participate in play-based learning activities supporting useful developmental skills. We promote independence in kids and adults, building on strengths and participation from schools and family members. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) encourages working alongside all other forms of support including but not limited to occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy. We offer one of the best Natural Environment Training in ABA therapies in Southern Arizona.
We’re here to help
At Helping Hands Behavior Therapy, we follow the highest level of care. Therapists focus on bringing out positive behaviors and apply to real-world situations. Programs are tailored for each child, helping them learn a unique tool set to aid in exploring their own best life. Our emphasis on Natural Environment Training, clinically proven to be a success in long-term benefits, improves home and school adaptations.
Diversity enriches our lives. People of all abilities deserve a chance to express their personality, strength and gift for the world.
We value kids being kids. Children affected by autism deserve a program keeping their imagination at the heart of the therapy, while still being practical, effective and positive for family and educators. Each child is special and receives a therapy plan aligned with their unique needs. As therapists, we believe children of all abilities remind us to stay in the moment, be patient and imagine.
We have two boys with autism and a typical-needs girl. Behavioral therapists have been in our house for at least 15 hours per week since our sons were diagnosed 6 years ago. We feel exceptionally comfortable with Melissa and her staff.”
It’s so great to work with a team that truly cares for their clients, led by a highly experienced BCBA who understands the value of respectfully including people of all abilities in our community.”
Melissa and her staff are able to work on our sons’ ABA goals in a natural environment (ex. our home, school, in the community). They’ve taught our sons natural language – they even use slang now and understand sarcasm!”
