How ABA Therapy Works

Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy shown to enhance life skills, in both children and adults. The technique has passed scientific tests for its effectiveness and is considered a “best” practice treatment by the U.S. Surgeon General and American Psychological Association. The approach is rooted in a set of common principles on how behavior is learned, conducted, rewarded and repeated. Helping Hands Behavior Therapy emphasizes positive reinforcement and natural environment training with incidental teaching to tailor treatment plans and create a comforting, fun, learning atmosphere for children and adults.

Appropriate for a variety of behavior and psychological conditions, ABA is standard in its principles but dynamic in its ability to adapt to a treatment best fit for clients, each with unique needs. Treatment plans are tailored for each person and aimed at creating a positive outlet for personalities to blossom. Our goal is to help empower individuals to live their highest quality of life and enable independence in and outside the home.
